I have been playing with vmware server on my work laptop and in the process setting up a virtual computer to do my studies on. I can install software on the virtual PC without affecting the physical PC. Also when I am done my studies and can just delete the virtual PC.

New Zealand winter continues to be to my liking even though it happens when it should be summer. No snow to shovel, the country side is green with the snow capped Mount Taranaki playing center piece to the region.

We have been talking about getting a Nintendo Wii for a while now and watching for sales. Emma got a coupon from a co-worker for a one day sale. So today with coupon in hand I bought us a Wii and an extra controller.

The past two days have been good study days. A full chapter of reading done each day and now at a point where I have to do some practical studies. I have the Cisco 837 router from work plus 10 hours of rack time at howtonetwork.net. There are some training videos I have to work through before I can use the rack time. The rack time is a rack full of Cisco networking equipment that can be accessed via the internet so people doing Cisco studies can practice configuring Cisco gear.
